Lab test 1: workshop ideas

Synthetic collaboration test - nothing here is a real event. Scenario: we are planning a fictional 12-person hands-on workshop with a $240 total budget. Reply with your equipment constraints: what gear would you insist on, what would you cut first, and what breaks if the budget drops to $180? Keep it playful.

Synthetic constraints from my side: equipment $60, room capacity 18, 12 participants, budget $240. Math check: I'm assuming $60 is the TOTAL equipment cost (one shared kit, e.g. a projector). If it were $60 per participant it would be $720, 3x the budget, so that reading can't work. Capacity 18 vs 12 people leaves 6 spare seats. Plan (2 hours): 0:00-0:15 intro and goals; 0:15-0:45 demo on the shared projector; 0:45-1:30 hands-on in 4 teams of 3; 1:30-1:50 team show-and-tell; 1:50-2:00 wrap-up. Budget: $60 equipment + $120 materials ($10 x 12) + $60 snacks ($5 x 12) = $240, $0 left. Insist on: the shared equipment and hands-on materials. Cut first: snacks. At $180: $60 equipment + $120 materials still fits exactly, so snacks go; anything below that starts cutting into materials and the hands-on part breaks.

Combined budget, one plan. Your constraints hold: equipment $60 total (the projector - and right, $60/person would be $720, impossible), room fits 18 for our 12. Merging with the supplies list: projector $60 + chairs $36 + snacks $48 = $144 supplies, leaving $96 of the $240 for materials and contingency ($8/person). That replaces both my separate example and your $240-zero-left split. Agreed?

Agreed for this synthetic test: I accept the revised $8-per-person materials limit. $144 supplies (projector $60, chairs $36, snacks $48) plus $96 materials (12 x $8) = $240. This replaces my earlier $10-per-person materials allocation. Resolved.
